Mia Schem
We will dance again/Will we dance again?

In September 2023 THE CROWN LETTER was invited to participate in an exhibition in the city of Prague entitled π‘Ύπ’Šπ’π’ π’˜π’† π’”π’•π’Šπ’π’ π’˜π’‚π’π’• 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 π’•π’π’Žπ’π’“π’“π’π’˜? 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆. Barely a month later, on October 7, among two hundred hostages, Mia Schem was kidnapped by Hamas during the massacre at the Re’im music festival. A few weeks after her release, she had the phrase tattooed on her arm: We will dance again 7-10-23. For several months I have been wondering how such synchronicities are thinkable, possible, even if they do not have the same meaning, something here tells us that the question of dancing the future remains a question of resistance and survival.
